Coin It Yourself: Name what you sense but cannot yet say. Give a feeling, notion, or pattern a provisional word—making the ineffable effable, concrete enough to examine, share, and revise.

CIY can mean:

• coining a new term when existing language fails;
• adapting or claiming language that makes an experience more fully your own.

A coined term can reify without petrifying: solid enough to work with, provisional enough to revise.

What CIY can build

• Flexicon — language that expands what you can notice, think, or do.
• Vexicon — names for what vexes you, and scrutiny of language that deceives, obscures, confuses, or irritates.
• Meologisms — terms you coin yourself.
